Guess I get to make my first post with some... nice insight. I like the idea of setting the stage approximately middle course of Star Wars Rebels and Episode IV A New Hope. Not the Five years before A New Hope, but perhaps something a bit close to that movie. The construction of the first Super Star Destroyers and the rumors of the deadly super weapon to end all super weapons. The spy games that can be played out alone would be a thrill. There are other reasons for including the Rebels squad. For starters, you have access to more Jedi Youths, Force Sensitives and Jedi Refugees who survived the Clone Wars, before being ultimately hunted down before Empire Strikes Back or whatever the books claim they were finally eradicated. It also allows for the Inquisition and Dark Side Corrupted Jedi Knights, ala Grand Inquisitor before he was offed.
But more importantly, it allows for a real desperate struggle between whatever Rebel squad we wish to build, be it Phoenix Squadron or Red Squadron, and their conflicts with various forces of the Empire. Furthermore, it allows for vastly different strategies to be employed up to the Crisis of Dantooine and the Battle of Yavin 4. Besides, it also affords us a chance to really build Iconic characters such as Biggs and Porkins.

Who wouldn't jump at the chance to play Jek Porkins? "You ain't got no future, Jack. You're an A-1 nut boy, Grissom knows it." Oh wait, wrong movie.

well according to some recently abandoned historical texts, Jek and Wedge had something of a friendly rivalry... ya know, before he became deep fried space bacon. There is some potential for the original twelve pilots of Red Squadron even if most of them die either in orbit above Yavin or in defense of Echo Base.

Alright, the season finale for Star Wars: Rebels has left the field wide open for really epic game changes. Not sure who else has seen the entire series, but it definitely fuels the imagination.

I suppose I should also mention to the masses, that Star Wars: Rebels is set in the time of our first game. The period after Episode III and before Episode IV. The sheer darkness of the season finale was absolutely perfect for the Star Wars feel. The utter desperation, the grit, the betrayal, the... well again I rather not delve into spoilers just yet. Sufficed to say, the entire series has given me some good fuel for some good ole fashioned Rebellion Antics.

I would definitely agree with the muse fuel stuffs. I haven't got around to watching Rebels yet, but I have it on blu-ray ready to go after I've made it through Clone Wars.
And Clone Wars itself certainly isn't disappointing in the muse fuel department either.

I'm starting the process of dropping some ads around here and there. Feel free to do the same. Spreading the word is the only way we'll get people outside our little circle to interact with in this big, wide universe

Afternoon, folks! My name's Pat (a.k.a. Uncle). I'm certain I've written with some of you here and there in the past - and I'm looking forward to doing so again on here. I spoke with Sid and staked my claim, so let me know if there's an opening / need for Hondo Ohnaka (or if I should simply dive in). I also plan on establishing an original Ewok character for the heck of it (blame Goks).
Regarding the discussion... I was late to the party, but I'm really liking Rebels - the second season especially. I think I have two episodes left.

Sorry for the inactivity lately guys, had some life stuff to deal with but I'm slowly getting back in the swing of things. Rogue One trailers have surely helped the muse a bit heheh

Hiya. I'm Silly. Laugh at me. LAUGH! *shoots lighting* Ooooh! This place looks nice! Oh look! A space bird! Seriously though. Just kinda begun to get more interested in Star Wars lately, and decided to take the plunge and join this game my buds are part of! (Fox, Goki, Snowdog, Insidious, ya know.) Looking forward to playing! With permission I'll try applying for Yoda since he is apparently available according to Snowdog. Also hoping to try Mace Windu if that rumored Clone Wars plot becomes a thing!
