So I've been thinking about the potential setting for this place, and figured: Why not allow for multiple eras? We could have separate categories for each era of Star Wars, such as the Clone Wars, Original Triology and the Force Awakens timeline.
This would allow players to RP as their favorite characters/OCs in specific timelines.
Thoughts?

Yeah there's plans of stretching out into different eras (especially now with the wave/hype for the newest episode). If we get enough interest and/or traction, then setting up another era won't be too far out of the question.
I for one would love to do some Clone Wars stuff

Clone Wats would be neat, since I could write Palpatine and 3pO at two different phases of their lives and see what that's like. For Force Awakens era, hmm, I'll have to shop. Maybe try on an unexpected face or two. Tho 3PO would fit there too, at least.

I'm debating pushing the Rise of the Empire game closer to the start of A New Hope, that way people in that game could play all the traditional canons from the "first" three movies at roughly the ages and places they would expect them to be.
There's a fairly big gap inbetween episodes III and IV, and I see pros between setting that game roughly a few years after III and also pros between it being set maybe just a year or so before IV.
Anyways, I'm open to thoughts.

That could be a good idea. I think "The Force Awakens" brought a lot of focus back to the original trilogy, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people want to play with the characters and locales from that particular era.

I lean toward starting closer to Episode IV to start. Nothing stops us from going back later, but the original trilogy are also likely what people know best.
